Here is another video tutorial brought to you by the KBTV team.

This video is short, snappy and straight to the point... and the point being, how quick, easy, and painless it is to license VMware Workstation 8.

The video provides a demonstration of how VMware Workstation 8 can be licensed.

The example in the video shows VMware Workstation 8 running on a Windows-based system but the process for licensing a Workstation 8 installation on a Linux-based system is very similar.

We have a similar video showing How to license VMware Workstation 7. The process is pretty similar but Workstation 8 comes with a much nicer looking GUI!

For additional information be sure to check out VMware Knowledge Base article Licensing VMware Workstation (1015481).

Greetings KBTV fans!

Today we have a new video tutorial for you. This video will demonstrate how to manually uninstall VMware Fusion 4...not that you would ever want to do something like that...why would you want to uninstall something as beautiful and amazing as VMware Fusion 4? :-)

The truth is, every now and then there does in fact arise a need for you to uninstall software such as VMware Fusion 4 from your system, For instance, when you want to upgrade your system or when you want to sell your system to one of your friends but you don't want your friend to get their hands on your favorite virtualization platform!

We have a similar video for uninstalling VMware Fusion 3. The procedure for uninstalling Fusion 4 is actually quicker and easier than that of Fusion 3.

For additional instructions and information be sure to check out VMware Knowledge Base article Manually uninstalling VMware Fusion (1017838)

Well, enough rambling and on to the goods!

Here is the video.....

Greetings!

Today we have a new video which I am sure will be of interest to anyone who has a Macbook Pro, iMac or another Apple product with Mac OS X 10.6.7 running on it and who wants to run some Windows applications on it with VMware Fusion 4.

In this video we will discuss and demonstrate the process of downloading and installing VMware Fusion 4.

Before getting started though, you should first ensure that your host system meets the minimum system requirements as defined in the Getting Started with VMware Fusion guide. It's well worth checking if you want to avoid the possible headaches of trying to uninstall a failed install.

Read more about VMware Fusion

Download VMware Fusion

VMware Fusion Documentation

For older versions of VMware Fusion, we suggest viewing Downloading and Installing VMware Fusion.

Greetings KBTV friends!

We have a new video for you today. it is a short video, but one which will be useful for all users who ever have to troubleshoot their VMware View environments.

This video demonstrates how to collect the diagnostic information for the various components within a VMware View environment. This can be especially useful when working with VMware's Technical Support staff in relation to a Support Request you may have opened, as by providing them with the necessary log support data at the beginning of the investigation process will speed up the entire process and help you get back to a more stable environment as soon as possible.

For additional details see Collecting diagnostic information for VMware View (1017939) in our Knowledge Base
